A popular singer was bitten to death by a cobra during performance – The woman kept singing for about 45 minutes before collapsing and dying Irma Bule, an Indonesian pop star known for her love to wear snakes on her shoulders during shows, has died after being bitten by a reptile accompaniment mid-performance.
What is even more bizarre is that Irma refused to take an antidote the snake’s handler offered her and kept on singing for 45 minutes after the cobra sank her teeth into the woman’s thigh.
The show went on but shortly afterwards, the singer started vomiting and fell unconscious in front of stunned spectators. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she was declared dead soon after arrival.
It turned out that the king cobra the singer accidentally stood on had not been defanged and thus was extremely dangerous. The tragic accident that took place at Karawang village in West Java on Sunday was captured on camera and later leaked online.
One of the viewers described what happened: “In the middle of the second song, Irma stepped on the snake’s tail. The snake then bit Irma in her thigh. The effects were felt 45 minutes after the bite. She vomited, had seizures, and her body seized.”
