Woman Shot In Her Car From Other Vehicle While Driving
Police in Cleveland, Ohio are looking for suspects in the fatal shooting of Yolanda Luckey, 37.
Luckey was driving her car around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, when a car pulled up next to her and the shots were fired.
The fatal shooting happened in the 3100 block of E. 79th St in Cleveland.
Officers were dispatched to 7111 Garden Valley for shots fired and a car having crashed into a fence.
Investigators report that Luckey was found alone in the driver’s seat with multiple gunshot wounds to her left side.
She was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS, where she was pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, Luckey was driving her vehicle on E. 79th, turning into Garden Valley, when a suspect vehicle, described as a dark colored SUV, pulled up next to her and the fatal shots were fired into her car. Afterwards the suspect vehicle drove off.
Police report that no suspect information is available.
Members of the homicide unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene for investigation. The CCMEO will determine the final cause of death.
